Roger Weldon

Chef Roger Weldon, a graduate of George Brown College, returned to his Lanark County roots when he launched Ballygiblin's in 2007. The cuisine features local meat and produce and the menu reflects seasonal availability. Homemade preserves and sauces served in the restaurant are also available at the Carleton Place Farmer's Market. A passionate advocate of Slow Food and the associated sustainable agricultural practices, Roger was selected as a delegate to the 2008 Terra Madre Conference in Turin Italy. In 2009, Ballygiblin's energy and dedication as, “a community-minded restaurant”, were recognized by the Carleton Place & District Chamber of Commerce with the “Business Person of the Year” award.
