Sandra Salmins

Pursuing a teenage passion for agriculture, Sandra Salmins attended McGill's Macdonald College, acquiring an M.Sc.in organic agriculture and winning the Mary Perlmutter Scholarship Award. A member of Canadian Organic Growers since 1991, Sandra is a former editor of the F.Y.I. column in the quarterly magazine “Canadian Organic Grower”.
“Salad to dine for” is Sandra's description of the wide selection of greenhouse-grown “shoulder-season” salad and Asian greens. Special formula, hand-mixed soil, raised beds, gentle soaker irrigation and loving expertise combine to deliver a harvest of nutrient-rich, attractive greens and vegetables. Wetland preservation and a Managed Forest Plan are also key activities at Wild Parrot Swamp.
