“Our production is based on the idea that healthy soil produces healthy food which enhances the health of those who consume it.” This belief has been the guiding principle in the development of Songberry Farm since Rob and Julie purchased the property in 2003.

Today, a greenhouse, large vegetable garden and an expanded strawberry patch enable production of certified organic strawberries, garlic and more than thirty varieties of vegetables and herbs.

Rob and Julie work with an organic soil and crop consultant in order to raise and maintain the fertility and mineral balance of their soil. Investing in this expert advice and in carefully selected organic soil amendments ensures that they are “feeding the soil that feeds the plants that feed the consumer.”
