Roots and Shoots Farm

“We Dig Vegetables” is an apt slogan for Roots and Shoots Farm, an intensive small-scale vegetable operation in the Manotick area. Robin and Jessica started the operation in 2010 to build the local food system while inspiring customers to explore the wonders of seasonal produce. Roots and Shoots grows a tremendous variety of interesting and colourful varieties sold through their CSA program and at local markets. Roots and Shoots also ‘digs’ working with the local community, from the Ottawa Food Bank and its Community Harvest Program, to COG’s Growing Up Organic program.
