“Beef is our passion,” declare the Hamiltons as they maintain the Hereford breeding program that began more than 60 years ago. Remarkably, and a testament to the superior management of the program, 70% of the current Hereford herd bear the genetic markers of the first cow purchased in 1945.

Over the years many changes have occurred to the operation. Notably, an Angus herd was added in 2000, bringing the current total to 700 head. Acreage has expanded, innovations such as solar watering have been installed and a farm store opened. Long recognized for production of quality breeding stock, 32 Rolling Acres heifers and bulls were shipped to Russia in 2007.

While more than 200 years have passed since the Hamilton family settled in the Ottawa Valley, clearly the passion for farming and the dedication to quality and excellence continues today.
