Visitors to Rideau Pines Farm may enjoy a PYO experience, rain or shine, thanks to the ‘high tunnel’ installations which protect the plants from extreme weather and at the same time allow picking to proceed in comfort. Tractor transport to the more distant fields is provided and for time challenged consumers, freshly picked produce from the cooler in the heritage dairy barn is always available. The Vandenberg family’s traditions and passion for agriculture continue to thrive, as Saundra and John’s sons Matt and Paul have joined the family business and John continues to share his expertise and experience with students at Kemptville College.
