“We have the ability to provide healthy, high quality, natural food for ourselves, our customers and their pets,” declares Shelly. In 2005, Shelly and Rob returned to farm life to enable those food choices. Today at Morrison Manor they are raising sheep, chickens, ducks and turkeys as well as managing a large market garden. They have also recently started a Community Shared Agriculture (CSA) model of agriculture.
Choosing the100-acre spread, which is now Morrison Manor Organics, was for Shelly and Rob, the culmination of a 10-year search for their dream farm. One look at the farmhouse which bore a striking resemblance to Grandma Morrison's 1934 homestead confirmed the decision to buy. The farm has met all of their expectations.
