“I pestered my dad until he gave in and we finally tapped a stand of maple trees,” says Ivan Garland. Thirty years later, Ivan, his wife Jocelyne and their children have transformed a childhood hobby into a thriving maple syrup business. Originally a dairy farm, this third generation family enterprise survives on cash crops and maple products today. Ivan and Jocelyne are particularly pleased to see a fourth generation of Garlands embracing the daily challenge, innovation and adaptation their family farm demands.
