Executive Chef Marc Lepine confesses that he and his Atelier colleagues are indeed “culinary geeks” who thrive on “making discoveries through experimentation”, then sharing these with their guests.  Marc is a culinary arts graduate of George Brown College and has sommelier certification from Algonquin college.   After working in several of the finest kitchens in France and Italy, his successful return to Canada was acknowledged by twice being named  Ottawa Chef of the Year by the Canadian Culinary Federation.  Atelier, launched in 2008 is the first Ottawa restaurant to replace 'a la carte' with a 'tasting menu'.  The goal is to create a culinary “event” by presenting an array of creatively prepared, innovative dishes which frequently include  surprising local ingredients.
